BIGSTAR - Hot Boy

It's no surprise that there is another rookie group but what makes them special is that there is no doubt that in the beginning of every song of there's will have "BRAVE SOUND" kind of like "JYP." I'm a little torn about the song I'm kind of in the middle and the video is full of randomness and BIGSTAR. One thing I will say is that I like when song evenly destribute or at least distribute a line or two to all them members. However, I think I only heard and saw 3 members in the song. If Super Junior can do it with 13 12 11 9 10 members so can everyone else.

Let me just introduce them for those who might not know who's who or each of their names. There's the maknae Jude, the oldest BoRam, RaeHwan, SungHak, and the leader of the group FEELDOG. Umm... What? Out of all the names out there in the world, letters, and English words that he could have used as his stage name and they chose FeelDog. They should have just stuck with his real name. I doubt he knows English otherwise he wouldn't have used that name. I laugh at the name they gave him I feel like it would be the name of an unknown Hip Hop singer in the 90s (I might be thinking of Snoop Dogg).

Just to make sure you clicked on the music video or didn't know the name of the group that you just accidentally pressed without knowing who they were, don't worry they show there name "BIGSTAR" in more than half of the video. So they basically made it impossible to forget who they are. It's all over the walls, CG in the background, on the pink car, in everyone conversations, and engraved into the building. I don't think they have that much confidence living up to their name because it was literally everywhere.

I'm kind of torn about the song because really I feel like it's two songs in one. Two different songs. It isn't like SHINee's Sherlock which was 2 separate songs in one which blended well, this felt like a club mix switching up the song. You go from this deep voice sing in a Hip Hop feel to a go happy cutesy song which keeps going back a forth. After hearing it a couple of times I got use to it and it's growing on me but the first few times I was wondering if they were actually produced by the renown Brave Brothers who are known for a lot of popular songs.

Now to the randomness of the song and this song had many random moments. They could have do a simple song where they pose at the camera while dancing. No they needed to spice it up by having laser and fire eyes. I think it is the burning feeling inside which signifies their desire to blah blah blah. Yeah I don't think it has a meaning and were just meant to look cool.

Then there is another scene where my poor FeelDog gets squished... by himself? So basically he squishes himself. What was he doing shrinking himself or was he actually made into a giant? Hmmm...

I'm not sure how good or bad hospitals and medicine is in Korea because everyone seems to wants the US help. First it was Dalmatian in "ER" and now BIGSTAR. They start chanting "Call 911." If I'm right the emergency number in Korea is 119. So the should say "Call 119." I guess the US is known for New York, obesity, and 911. Glad to know that I have good medicine.

The last thing I want to say is "YEEEEAAAAHHHHHH BOOOOYYYYYYYYY!" I was saying how I felt FeelDog's name came from the 90s I might be wrong. I think it came from the 80s during Flavor Flav's era. So I guess there was a theme in all this randomness and exaggerated self promoting the 80s... I think.

Being a rookie group I see what will come out next from them because this song and video still needed some work. I guess the rookie groups are feeling the pressure.
