ZE:A - Aftermath

The nine boys of ZE:A have made their comeback with the with the song "Aftermath." So I intended to release the day after the video came out but my computer broke so I couldn't finish and now all the good music video that just came out from other groups are just waiting to be reviewed are piling up and I'm don't know who to do first because there are so many to chose from. Okay I'll complain later and now let's get back to ZE:A. I really like the song but the video was a step better than just dancing in geometric shape rooms.

I think this time around they are promoting ZE:A as "Flower Boys." I think they went a little overboard in trying to hint at this concept because it is everywhere. The make it very obvious by using cloths with flower patterns or just wearing huge flowers on their shirts. If that wasn't enough flowers towards the end flower petals start falling from the heaven to land nowhere. Cute idea, but no.

I think the worse offender of the flower usage was Siwan. Just because he is getting know for his role in the drama "The Moon That Embraces the Sun" doesn't mean he can pull off a Hawaiian shirt. EWW. COME ON! There is a reason he looks depressed, not because of some girl or over a broken watch that he thinks he can fix by just staring at it but the fact that they forced him to wear that shirt.

Enough complaining about the flowers, I did like one thing about their outfits... THE ACCESSORIES! Just look at Junyoung wearing the molecule model set from science class around his neck. Never knew science could be so fashionable. Minwoo is looking flashy with his rock candy necklace and bracelets. Just look how he shows the deliciousness of his accessories. First time seeing Teaheon with sunglasses on and it was to show off his necklace made out of recycled lost pieces meshed together to make a cool necklace.

Now Keven while everyone is wearing cool and sweet accessories Kevin decide... to wear... a hat. How boring. It doesn't even match the flower boy look. I would understand if he was rapping but that is left to Minwoo, Teaheon, and Heecheol in this song. We got to hear Kevin sing and he decides to wear a hat like if he was the rapper. I felt that it didn't match well with what everyone else was wearing.

There is another fashion offer in the video, Dongjun. While everyone else is wearing a nice jacket with white or black pants Dongjun tries to take the spotlight by wearing all red. Although not as bad as Siwan's Hawaiian shirt it is still pretty bad. The idea was to be the one to always catch the peoples eyes looking at such a big group. I think it is greediness that got to him.

Everyone is wondering where the leader Junyoung was while everyone was dancing. Well, while everyone was sweating onto their flower outfit Junyoung took it easy and has fun spinning on the egg shape chair. The leader needs to step it up because he just looks like someone who is resting after getting injured. Wait. WHAT. Ohhh, so he is injured. I guess he can stay in the chair and play with his molecule model set. necklace.

I like the song it is a nice song with a good beat and showing the different singing ability of other members but the one that I recognized was Kwanghee. Usually given really few to no lines showed off a lot of growth in this song. He kill his one line. I this the presentation of that one line couldn't get any better. You can tell he has been practicing a lot in the past few months.

I actually do like the video and song to be honest, except I still don't like Siwan's shirt. I'm actually a little upset at how so many groups have debuted and made comebacks. I've been a little slow trying to get my computer fixed. I will try my best to review all the videos I can and release them before any other good videos come out because I have no doubt more will come out. So just wait a little and maybe the video your waiting for will come out and be completely destroyed by my review (I'm looking at you Big Star).
